In the spirit of friendly competition, a raffle system will be used to determine winners of the season grand prizes. Season grand prizes are donated from our sponsors and rather than giving them to only the top elite paddlers, the Wave Chaser organizers have decided to make the prizes available for all the participants using the raffle system.
The way it works is you get 5 raffle tickets for every event you enter. If you medal in your division, you get additional tickets commensurate with your placing. In addition, you receive one raffle ticket for each boat you finish ahead of in your class per race, making your chances for winning even better, while still making it possible for the less experienced paddlers to have a shot at winning some of the great prizes. The drawing to give out season grand prizes will be held at the end of the series. You need not be present to win, but only one prize will be given to persons not in attendance.

We're hoping this system will get everyone stoked on participating regardless of their experience and conditioning, and to encourage everyone to help out by making the races possible by volunteering an hour or two. Good luck!
