WaveChaser Championships

The WaveChaser Championships is the final individual event in the 2007-2008 WaveChaser Winter Series.  The race courses will be the same as the day 2 courses of the Winter Challenge Double Header held February 16-17.  (Novice course stays near Horseshoe Cove, short course heads to Pt Belvedere, and long course goes out the Golden Gate.)  Depending on the marine conditions of the day, it is likely that the long course will offer very challenging conditions.

Like all WaveChaser races, all paddlers are required to use leashes that tether the boat to the paddler.  Surfski paddlers have the option of using a paddle leash instead (paddle tethered to boat).  All paddlers are required to WEAR personal floatation devices (PFD's).

9:00 novice course (2 miles, course announced on race day)

11:30 long course (10 miles, see map below)
